How BackerRock Works

A clear client-facing path from choosing a promotion plan to reviewing attributed results in your own campaign dashboard.

What this page covers: the service steps, client inputs, authorization method, tracking record, delivery communication, and review path. It does not promise that a campaign will reach its overall funding goal.

Step by Step

From Plan Selection to Verifiable Results

Each checkpoint has a clear client action, BackerRock action, and result record. The exact placement timing depends on campaign status, onboarding completion, and plan eligibility.

01 / SELECTClient

Choose the appropriate plan

Compare plan scope, performance commitment, and fund-protection level before purchasing. Review the applicable terms so the target and remedy are clear in advance.

  • Confirm the campaign platform and timing
  • Review the 2x or 3x plan commitment
  • Read the Guarantee terms
02 / ONBOARDClient

Complete onboarding and authorize

After purchase, complete the BackerRock onboarding form with the campaign and order information needed to prepare the service. Required authorization is provided through this form.

  • Never send an account password or login credentials
  • Use accurate project and contact details
  • Contact hi@backerrock.com for authorization questions
03 / REVIEWBackerRock

Campaign and placement review

BackerRock checks the campaign status, information supplied, plan purchased, and whether the campaign is ready for the selected placement.

  • The campaign page and required links must remain functional
  • Missing information is clarified before placement
  • Suspended or unavailable campaigns may be ineligible
04 / PREPAREBackerRock

Configure tracking and timing

A dedicated BackerRock tracking link is configured for the campaign, and placement timing or the applicable delivery window is confirmed through service communication.

  • One dedicated attribution path per campaign
  • Campaign and destination links must stay live
  • Material campaign changes should be reported promptly
05 / DELIVERBoth

Promotion and creator verification

BackerRock completes the eligible placement. The creator then reviews attributed backers and attributed revenue credited to the dedicated link in their own Kickstarter or Indiegogo dashboard.

  • The campaign dashboard is the primary result record
  • Backers and revenue should be read together
  • High-ticket campaigns may show fewer backers and higher revenue
06 / RECONCILEBoth

Reconcile the result and request support

Allow the platform dashboard to update after the first placement. If the applicable target is not reached, contact BackerRock with the required evidence for a guarantee review.

  • Live-campaign cancellations update the attributed dashboard figure
  • Post-campaign disputes may require Kickstarter-issued documentation
  • Eligible shortfalls follow the Guarantee review process

Do not email or message your Kickstarter or Indiegogo password, login credentials, recovery codes, or unrelated account permissions. Use the BackerRock onboarding form for the required authorization.

For help, contact hi@backerrock.com.

Transparency Boundary

What Is Verifiable and What Remains Private

Client-verifiable records

Your plan and order reference, onboarding completion, placement communication, dedicated tracking setup, and the attributed backers and revenue visible in your own campaign dashboard form the client-facing service record.

Protected operational information

BackerRock does not publish individual backer information, other clients’ campaign data, partner lists, private audience data, or internal placement systems. Protecting this information does not replace the dashboard evidence available to each creator.

!

If your campaign status changes

Contact BackerRock promptly if the campaign is paused, suspended, made unavailable, materially changed, or if the destination link no longer works. These changes can affect placement eligibility, timing, attribution, or the ability to schedule a complimentary resend.

FAQ

How the Process Works in Practice

Do I need to send BackerRock my account password?

No. Authorization is required, but it is completed through the BackerRock onboarding form. Never send account passwords or login credentials by email or chat.

When does BackerRock begin preparing the service?

Preparation begins after the plan purchase, completed onboarding information, required authorization, and campaign-readiness review are available. Missing or conflicting information can delay placement confirmation.

How are attributed results measured?

BackerRock configures a dedicated tracking link for the campaign. Attributed backers and revenue are the conversions credited to that link in the creator’s own Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign dashboard.

What happens if a backer cancels?

While the campaign is live, the attributed revenue in the campaign dashboard updates when an attributed pledge is canceled. After the campaign ends, a dispute about a canceled pledge may require a spreadsheet or other Kickstarter-issued documentation verifying its original attribution.

What if the first promotion does not reach the plan target?

Allow the campaign dashboard to update, then contact BackerRock with the project URL, plan or order reference, and supporting dashboard evidence. Eligible shortfalls follow the published Guarantee terms.

Who should I contact if I am unsure about the next step?

Email hi@backerrock.com with the campaign URL and plan or order reference. Do not include passwords or login credentials.
